With a MERV 12 rating and an MPR of 1550, these filters are highly effective at capturing small particles, including bacteria and particles that carry viruses. In fact, they achieve a 54% small particle capture rate, as tested according to ASHRAE 52.2 for 0.3 to 1 micron particles from the air passing through the filter.
